Do the Right Thing, Obama


On their first date he took her to the cinema.
Flames from that fateful night
Blazing,
As if that summer day
had to take one more black life with it,
While suicide-bombing itself off the planet and sparing
 the rest of Brooklyn
as well as the audience
for one more night.

like the ambitions of a noble man,
Immolating good intentions

the flame that would burn up Saddam Hussein
  when the time came
for someone else to take responsibility for the day.


He said:

'This is a country of firsts.
First black president.
First female president.
First Lady.
First man on the moon.
And no one ever gets it right the first time'.

She said:

'Vivra sa Vie'
And made her choice.
